IEEE Future Directions: Smart AgriFood Systems Initiative

A two-part workshop hosted within IEEE CAFE 2026, open to the whole community.

The workshop brings together researchers, industry practitioners and IEEE volunteers to shape a shared vision for the future of Smart Agri-Food, and to define concrete next steps for the SmartAg IEEE Future Directions Initiative.

An open discussion on the future of Agri-Food and the role IEEE can play in this innovation, opened by short trigger talks from field experts and followed by a plenary debate.

Saturday, 26 September 2026 — 9:00–13:00

Working Groups Session
A hands-on brainstorming among the CAFE community, organised in parallel working groups, to build together the SmartAg IEEE Future Directions Initiative.

Registration is free of charge and is done through a dedicated form:

Workshop-only registration grants access to the two workshop sessions only. It does not include access to the IEEE CAFE 2026 technical sessions, keynotes, social events or any other conference activity.
