IEEE CAFE 2026 will recognize outstanding contributions from the next generation of researchers through the Best Student Paper Award.

To be eligible for the competition, the following conditions must be met:

• The first author must be a student (undergraduate, graduate, or PhD student) at the time of submission.

• The first author must be the presenter of the work at the conference.

• Authors must check the appropriate flag during the paper submission process on the ePapers system. Papers for which the option is not selected at submission time will not be considered for the award.

Eligible papers will be evaluated by the Technical Program Committee based on the quality of the written contribution and the conference presentation. The award will be announced and presented during the closing ceremony of IEEE CAFE 2026.
