CAFE, the IEEE Conference on AgriFood Electronics, is the reference for cutting edge electronics research applied to the AgriFood chain of value. Electronics are ready to leverage the change in paradigm for managing all the food chain stages, from smart and precision agriculture up to the processing phase and the selling points. Electronics and Sensors can dialogue with nature to help farmers and all food chain stakeholders to understand and protect the environment, facing the challenges related to Climate Change and Natural Resource Optimization.

Papers Requirements

​All submissions for CAFE 2026 must be original work and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. The submitted papers must be a maximum of 5 pages (4+1), including one (1) extra page of references, written in English, using Microsoft Word or LaTex, and formatted according to the IEEE guidelines for two-column IEEE-sponsored conference proceedings. Please use Microsoft Word or LaTeX for your submissions, with templates available here.

  • ALL submissions must be made on-line via Epapers System.

  • Email submissions will NOT be accepted.

  • If you are making multiple submissions, you only need to create one web account.

  • Use the same account (User name & Password) for any additional submissions.

  • If you need to edit any author information or resubmit your paper, it may be done up until the submission deadline

Papers Specifications

Papers must comply with the following specifications:​

  • Paper Length: Maximum 5 pages (4 pages for technical content including text, figures, and references, + 1 additional page containing only references).

  • Paper Size: A4 (210mm X 297mm).

  • Fonts: Embed ALL fonts in your PDF file and avoid Type 3 fonts.

  • File Format: Adobe PDF (.pdf).

  • Allowed File Size: 5.0MB.

  • Do NOT page number your paper.

  • Do NOT apply security settings to your PDF file.

Note: Failure to adhere to these specifications could result in paper rejection.

Special Session Proposal

We welcome special sessions proposals in all areas related to AgrFood technology as listed on CAFE’s website, but note special sessions are expected to complement the regular technical program with innovative applications, and timely research topics. Special sessions can also cover challenging open problems of relevance in applications. The participation of speakers from industry is especially valuated in a special session.

Proposal should include

        1. Title and Abstract
        2. Rationale
        3. Speakers
        4. Short bio-sketch of the session proposer.
